#18 Scalpel Blades
The #18 scalpel blade has a large blade for the #4 handle. It is chosen for heavier cutting where the #3-handle blades are too small. This pack holds ten carbon steel #18 blades, each in its own sealed foil pouch, so you open only the blade you need.
Which Handle Fits a #18 Blade?
The #18 belongs to the large-fitting family (#18 to #25) and fits #4 handles. It does not fit a #3 handle. If you do not have a handle yet, the #18 scalpel set pairs ten of these blades with a matching #4 stainless handle.
Sterile Foil Packs
Each blade is sealed in its own foil pouch and sterilized by gamma radiation, as declared by the manufacturer. Sterility holds while the pouch is unbroken.

Use and Safety
Carbon steel takes a very sharp edge but can rust if left wet: dry blades after use and store them in a dry place. Fit and remove blades with a pair of pliers or a blade remover, never with your fingers, and drop used blades into a blade disposal box. Sold for craft, hobby, laboratory, dissection, taxidermy and educational use. Not sold as a medical device.
