#4 Scalpel Handle
The #4 is the standard handle for large scalpel blades. It has a broader body than the #3, which gives a firmer grip for longer and heavier cuts.
Which Blades Fit the #4 Handle?
The #4 handle takes #18, #20, #21, #22, #23, #24 and #25 blades. Small blades for the #3 handle will not lock onto it.

Fitting and Changing Blades
Slide the blade onto the fitting until it clicks into place, holding the blade with pliers rather than your fingers. To remove it, lift the back of the blade with the pliers and slide it off. The handle can be cleaned and reused. Sold for craft, hobby, laboratory, dissection, taxidermy and educational use. Not sold as a medical device.
